June 3 at 7 p.m.
All Souls parishioner Karen Sams is the founder and director of the new SoliClassica Music Academy. Please join her to celebrate the opening of the Academy with a program of chamber music and solos by young artists. These students come from a variety of local studios and wish to show their enthusiasm for this program. (They include the violin ensemble coached by Mary Daniels, Contiamo!)
Your support in this fund-raiser will benefit our talented young musicians by providing financial assistance for students and funding for programs to develop musicians through chamber music, theory and music history.

The Academy is founded to provide a sequential music theory curriculum (aligned with ABRSM and Royal Conservatory of Music programs), a chamber music program, music history classes, and more. While it is focused on developing musicianship in students, the program is also for adults. (Beginning in the fall there will be music theory and history programs specifically for adults; adults may enroll in chamber music beginning this summer.)
This inaugural summer we are offering two week-long “Musicianship Workshops,” with Accelerated Music Theory and Review (including Ear-Training, Dictation, Sight-Singing and Rhythm), Performance Class, and Music History and Listening. Additionally, students and adults may sign up for Chamber Music—rehearsals and coachings are arranged based on the schedules of those involved. There are already a couple of groups that have formed and are having weekly coachings, illustrating through their work every week how beneficial (and fun!) this is.
