Our Capital Campaign—"From Generation to Generation: Living Into Our Legacy"—kicked off on June 12 with a great event at the Cathedral, despite some initial rain. Parishioners met in the church to hear from campaign organizers and were treated to a special performance by the choir. They then shared a delicious meal and were entertained in the garth by Frazier Worth and the Honeybee Democracy. Many thanks to organizers Kate Henry and Jacque Combs.
The campaign goals are to provide a fund for future roof repair needs and other capital expenses related to our historic property, to repair both the stained glass and clear windows, and to enhance the approaches and entrances to the church for better handicap access and increased safety.
Our goal is to raise $850,000; as of June 20, $530,000 has been given or pledged. In late June, campaign manager Alex Comfort held a workshop for people interested in being trained to make parish home visits for the campaign.
The clergy and lay leadership, including the Vestry and the Campaign Committee, are fully committed to the campaign; anyone interested in participating should contact Alex Comfort at 691-6135 or alex@mn-ps.com.
