Celebrate LFR’s 20th Year of Operation

July 23 BBQ Fundraiser

The green lawn of the Cathedral of All Souls will be the site of Loving Food Resources’ annual BBQ to raise funds for food purchases for the food pantry. LFR serves people living with HIV/AIDS or who are in home Hospice care with any condition. Founded at All Souls in 1991, this all-volunteer food pantry is open on Saturdays for clients who shop for their own groceries in this small self-select pantry.

All Souls and LFR have a long and close relationship. Many parishioners volunteer on the board and on teams that operate the pantry on each Saturday of the month. LFR is located on the campus of Kenilworth Presbyterian Church nearby.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. They can be purchased in the cathedral office and they are available at the door. Uncle Ottie’s BBQ has provided the tasty food each of the previous five years and will once again be featured in this fundraiser. Music will be by the entertaining group Unpaid Bill and the Bad Checks. The hours are 5 until 8 p.m. Please support this event which is important in the mission of LFR. Call Mike Stevenson at 254-5227 for more information.
