Asheville Area Church Women United will be celebrating Friendship Day on Saturday, May 7th at Oakley United Methodist Church, 607 Fairview Road. Invite a friend and bring a dish for the salad lunch held after the meeting. Rev. Patricia Bacon of Calvary Presbyterian Church will lead the worship. A Note for Your Information: At the January 22nd meeting where Suzzy Sams was honored, Church Women United also held a candlelight memorial service for Church Women United members who had passed away since the last annual meeting. One of the four women held up in memory was Lew Perry, our beloved All Souls parishioner. Lew was a devoted, treasured member of Church Women United for many years.
