CROP Walk Report
Thanks to all who supported the 2010 version of the CROP Hunger Walk on Sunday, October 10. While the results of the fund raiser were not known in time for the Connection to include them, the walk was well-attended and the number of walkers was similar to last year’s.
Seventy-five percent of the money raised in Asheville-Buncombe County will go to combat hunger through the projects of Church World Service, while 25 percent will be divided among MANNA, ABCCM, Meals on Wheels, and Loving Food Resources. Planning will begin soon for next year’s walk. If you are interested in helping, check with the church office.
