Episcopal Peace Fellowship
The Episcopal Peace Fellowship will continue its usual schedule in January: The Vigil every Sunday at 4:30 and our monthly meeting at 5:30 on January 9. Many of us who “vigilize” question the efficacy of the Vigil as it nears completion of its eighth year. I once asked a monk the same question about their rationale as I visited the monastery. “Do you question the value of prayer?” came the answer. Not only is the Vigil prayer, it is also a public proclamation to a secular world that faith does not stop at the altar. Our ultimate charge is to transform this world into the Kingdom of God.
