The EYC kicked off December with a solid five hours of merrymaking during the annual Caroling Progressive Dinner. After a few frozen street-corner carols in the Village, we made a caroling stop at a group home and then on to another for their Open House. We were invited in for a delicious reception and sang Jingle Bells with them, with an accordion accompaniment. Our next host was Kyle Ritter, who served us more delicious food and hot cider. Then on to the Krupnicks where we were treated to the traditional multi-layered Christmas dip. Steve Allen brought us all together with a Nativity story, and then we moved on again to regale Mason and Prue Wilson with a doorstep carol. Our last stop was the Asaad’s, for, among other things a spectacular dessert known as Dirt (involving Oreos); we ended the evening with a gift exchange.
