Many parishioners have given some time—some have given a lot (!) of time—to help with the upkeep of the lawn areas at All Souls. Grass has been cut, leaves raked, gutters cleaned, limbs/sticks picked up, sidewalks cleared, the garth kept clean, and a host of other chores have been conscientiously accomplished. This group has also chipped in when the Properties Commission has announced Parish Work Days to clean both outside and inside.
Almost too numerous to name, this group is comprised of a cross-section of parishioners who have come when their schedules allowed and helped as they could. The system has worked! David Fortney, our Facilities Manager/Sexton, has received some great help in this manner and we have avoided the expense of contracting with an outside business. Special thanks to Andy Kane, David Cooke, and Chuck Smither who have often been the hardiest of workers and are most frequently seen wielding the various tools in use around the place.
