All are invited to our annual WNC Diocesan Conference, where we will gather from all corners of the diocese to learn, to share, and to grow more fully into what it means to be a member of the body of Christ. We are delighted and honored that Bonnie Anderson, President of the Episcopal Church’s 800+ member House of Deputies, will be our Keynote Speaker and one of the workshop presenters. Her speaking topic: “Two Million Ministers.” She is an advocate for the ministry of the laity. In the tradition of the great lay educator Verna Dozier, who called the laity “the sleeping giant,” Anderson often reminds the Church, “there are 2 million ministers in the Episcopal Church and many are still waiting to use their gifts actively to help bring about the Kingdom of God. Let’s get going.”
