Debra Allbery won the Grub Street National Book Prize in Poetry for her second book, Fimbul-Winter, and the Agnes Lynch Starrett Prize for her first book, Walking Distance.  Her work has appeared in Poetry, TriQuarterly, The Yale Review, Ploughshares, The Kenyon Review, FIELD, and elsewhere. Currently the director of the Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers, she lives near Asheville, North Carolina.

Debra Allbery’s will be the first reading in the Rebecca Stallings Poetry Series, established at the Cathedral of All Souls in 2011 to commemorate the life and spirit of beloved All Souls parishioner and life-long reader, Rebecca Stallings (1951— 2009).
