Friday, March 25 at 5:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall
We will be viewing the film Traces of the Trade, a documentary which chronicles the journey of one prominent Episcopal family from Rhod Island as they deal with their family's history and legacy of racism. Dain Perry, a member of this family, visited our Parish last year with his wife Constance, and they introduced the film to the diocese in a series of workshops. The viewing and reflection of this film is part of our diocese's journey of exploring our history and legacy of racism to begin to "repair the breach." "Repairing the Breach" has been a time of exploration, reflection and preparation before the diocese-wide Service of Repentance, Healing, and Reconciliation with Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori on April 9, 2011. This service is recommitting us to the ongoing, multi-generational work of dismantling racism. Please come and bring a dish to share.
