Prayer Beads are Back!

The Deacon on the Bridge

by the Rev. David Nard

It’s been a while since I have given out Prayer Bead packets so that members of the congregation could make Prayer Bead Bracelets for patients at the hospital.

This has been a meaningful and connecting gift for patients going through a difficult time, or a family member worried about a loved one’s healing, and a way for those of us at All Souls to contribute our prayers on their behalf.

The Prayer Bracelets are easy to make and just take a few minutes to string together, saying a prayer for healing on each bead as you string it.

Once completed then I take them to the hospital to be given to the Chaplains to give out as the situation seems appropriate. It is a wonderful way for All Souls to reach out to those in need in the hospital.

See me on Sunday mornings and I’ll give you a packet or two and then you can return the completed bracelets to me on another Sunday morning.

Let’s keep the good prayers for healing going!
